How it works

1

Drop in an image

One image — JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, or BMP.

2

Drag the crop box

Move it, resize it, or lock it to an aspect ratio.

3

Download

The cropped area, at full source resolution.

Drag the handles to frame exactly the part of the image you want — freeform, or locked to a common aspect like 1:1 for avatars, 16:9 for thumbnails, or 3:2 for prints. The cropped region is exported at the source resolution, not the preview resolution.

Cropping is pixel-exact and keeps the input format: PNG stays PNG with its transparency, JPG stays JPG. It does not rotate or straighten — a crooked horizon needs a rotate tool, not a crop.

Questions, answered

Cropping itself loses nothing — you keep the original pixels. JPG output is re-encoded at high quality.
