Drop in a photo and get it back with the background removed and the subject kept as a transparent PNG. The segmentation model downloads to your browser on the first run and executes locally — the image itself is never sent to a server, which makes this a rare private way to cut out a subject.

Results are best on photos with a clear foreground subject — people, products, vehicles, plants. Busy scenes with no obvious subject, or fine detail like flyaway hair against a patterned background, can leave rough edges that need manual touch-up in an editor.
