Re-encode JPG photos and graphics as PNG files — lossless, so no new compression artifacts are added on conversion. Useful when an upload form, editor, or archive format requires PNG specifically.

A heads-up on expectations: converting JPG to PNG does not recover quality the JPG already lost, and PNG files are often several times larger. It also does not add transparency — the JPG has none to preserve. If a smaller file is the goal, JPG or WebP is the better format.
